Haydee Rachel Thachar, aged 69, went to be with the Lord on September 15th, 2013 in Houston, Texas after gracefully battling cancer. Haydee was born September 6th, 1944, in Colon, Panama, the daughter of Valentin Antonio Rachel and Ana Nugent de Rachel (both deceased).
On November 13th, 1963, Haydee married the love of her life Carlos Alberto Thachar. They moved to the United States and started their new journey together. Haydee raised five children and was a loving wife and mother. She attended Massey Business College in Houston, Tx, where she obtained her Business Degree. She began her career with the City of Houston for 23 years from where she retired.
Haydee deeply loved the Lord, her family and friends. She was loving and caring and felt pleasure in helping others. She loved flowers, cooking, holidays especially Christmas, music, dancing, sewing, decorating, attending her grandchildren events, candy crush, her bible, travelling visiting Italy, Cancun and other places, and spending quality time with all. Although, she lived the majority of her life in the United States, she loved her native country of Panama. Haydee never forgot her roots, her siblings, cousins, nieces & nephews, family and friends whom she truly loved and always remembered them and remained present in their lives. Haydee’s two eldest sisters had the opportunity to be with her and supported her throughout her battle and she referred to Ana Regina as her Mother and Cecilia as her Hero. Her brother Nestor and other family members were present by calling every day while her husband Carlos, children, grandchildren, son’s in-laws & daughter in-law were present every minute caring for her. Haydee knew the true meaning of life and she expressed it in the way she treated everyone and in everything she did.
Haydee was an inspiration to her entire family and those who knew her will truly miss her. She left behind a Legacy to be remembered by generations and generations to come. That was the gift she left us all.
