Larry was born to Lawrence Siegfried Schulte and Gladys Mary Chisholm, August 3rd, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1958 and received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1966. He married Peggy in 1978, and they lived together in Friendswood, Texas until 1993. They also lived in Boerne, TX, Fayetteville, TX, Plum, TX (24 years) before moving back to Friendswood just this past Fall.
He is survived by: wife Peggy Schulte, son Matt Schulte (Ruthanne), son Pat Schulte (Kimberly), daughter Laurie Bradley (Tim), son John Allbritton (Patti), son Daniel Allbritton (Caroline), and son Doug Schulte (Rachael). He also had 13 grandchildren (Ashley, Patrick Ryan, Parker, Carlee, Nathan, Paxton, Joshua, Max, Chloe, Andrew, Luke, Ellory, and Judah) and 2 great-grandchildren (Harper and Liam).
He was preceded in death by Lawrence Siegfried Schulte, (father), and Gladys Mary Chisholm, (mother).
Larry worked as a manager for Gay Pontiac for 25+ years. He also owned and ran his own appraisal businesses (Larry Schulte Appraisal Service and Appraisal Plus) for over 20 years. He ran Appraisal Plus until he finally retired at the age of 80. He enjoyed many hobbies and interests. His favorite was probably working with his horses and cows. He and Peggy raised horses on their 10 acres in Friendswood and raised cattle at their farm in Plum. He also enjoyed car racing, horse racing, and watching the UH Cougars, Oilers, Texans and the Astros. He and Peggy were also actively involved in their church, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Plum, TX.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024, 2:00pm (Visitation at 1:00) at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster.
A reception will follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
