Horace “Buzz” Moore, 85, of Houston, Texas passed away March 11, 2020. He was born in Jacksboro, Texas on October 8, 1934 to James and Minnie Moore. He grew up in Sweetwater, Texas. He was married to Oleane Moore for 42 years before her death in 2004. Buzz had a career as a letter carrier for the US Post Office for 35 years. Oleane and he were members of Sagemont Church and South Belt residents for many, many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Oleane Moore; and brothers Coy Lee Moore, A.J. “Jack” Moore, Wayne Moore, and Harold “Bugger” Moore.
Buzz is survived by his two sons Larry Moore and wife Michelle and Wes Moore and wife Tracey; grandchildren Zakery Moore, Jerrod Moore, and Kaylee Moore; sister Ola “Sister” Robb; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2 pm with interment at Forest Park East Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zakery Moore, Jerrod Moore, Mike Moore, Mark Willis, Mike Myers, and Gary Carmouche.
