Iris Gene Rushing passed away February 7, 2011 at the age of 84. Iris was born October 25, 1926 in Houston, Texas and was a lifelong Houston resident. She was a member of University Baptist Church and a homemaker. Her father, Herman C. Garner, mother, Ethel Scott Garner and husband, Earl M. Rushing preceded her in death. Iris is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Barbara Rushing and Gary & Kay Rushing; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mike Rushing Jr. and his wife, Tracey, Wendi Wetzel and her husband, Mark, Wesley Rushing and his wife, Lalena, Doug Rushing and his wife, Amy and Melissa Rogers. She is also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dustin, Hayden, Victoria, Jordan, Briana, Emme, Jaylee, Zachary, Brett & Kade.
