Mr Jack Austin Bradsher Jr., age 96, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Jack was born March 10, 1925 in Durham County, North Carolina. His parents were Jack Austin Bradsher and Maggie Earl Woody. Jack was raised with one brother, James Bradsher, and two sisters Gloria Rowell and Ginny Hughes. He graduated from Taylor's Bridge High School in 1942.
He joined the US Navy in March of 1942. He served in the Pacific and Atlantic Theater and was a Gunner's Mate Second Class. He received several awards recognizing him for his heroism, including an American Area Victory Medal and Asiatic Pacific Points. After the war, he attend Lamar University earning a BA degree in Electrical Engineering.
He met Ann Lou Potter in Dallas, Texas and they were married in August 1949. They had two children; David and Joyce. They settled in Houston, Texas. Jack worked for forty years with Philip Morris as a sale and marketing representative. After retirement he was active in church and retirees organizations.
Jack passed away on January 18, 2022. Jack died at home peacefully. Jack died of natural causes. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Ann, his only son David and lovely daughter Joyce. He is survived by his daughter in law, Sue Bradsher and grandchild - Anna Bradsher as well as several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Forest Park East. Jack was laid to rest in Forest Park East Cemetery.
