He was born on April 7, 1947 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi to Bernard and Esther Morreale. Anthony was the 4th and youngest and only boy – he had three older sisters, Carolyn, Kay and Bobbie.
Anthony was married to the love of his life Jo Kay West Morreale for 50 years – they had two children Steven R. Morreale and Toni Ann Morreale-Cottle. They lived in Clear Lake, Texas for more than 40 years.
Anthony had a 30 year career with Air Products & Chemicals where he worked with his best friend and cousin Joseph B. Morreale Sr. in Operations, Sales and Management roles. Following retirement he worked as a mechanic, long-haul driver and had his own “hot shot” business.
Anthony loved traveling with Jo Kay and being active in his grandchildren’s lives – he would bring kolaches and donuts on Fridays and didn’t miss many activities. He joined car clubs and was known for hosting friends and family for Sunday breakfast. He once won a ’32 High-boy roadster in a drawing at “Cursing the Coast” which he attended yearly in his home state of Mississippi. He loved his country and would always look for a police officer that he could buy lunch. When anything went not quite as planned or someone needed an answer that he wasn’t quite sure his standard and loving response would be “O-Well.”
Anthony is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years – Jo Kay West Morreale, his sister Bobbie Dobson and his parents Benard “Ben” and Esther Morreale and best friend and cousin Joseph B. Morreale Sr.
He is survived by his son Steven Morreale and daughter Toni Morreale-Cottle and son-in-law John, sisters Carolyn Voss and Kay Morreale, nephew Sammy Morreale, grandchildren – Denali Cottle-Fanos and her husband Roman and 2-bonus grandchildren Kenna and Evan. Presley Cottle and great-grandson Kannon Garrett, Sailor Cottle, Rylan Cottle and Stevie Morreale. Many nieces and nephews – new and old friends and those who will be told stories that will give us all a belly laugh!
A Memorial Celebration of Anthony’s life will be held Monday, September 6 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home.
