He was born in Jacksonville, Texas on October 15, 1950 to Jimmie and Jeanie Barnes. He was married to Marilyn Barnes for 30 years. Lynn retired from Shell Oil after 32 years. He had a passion for surfing, tennis, running and his greatest passion was his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Barnes; daughter, Hannah Barnes; son, Sam Barnes and wife Alayna; mother, Jeanie Barnes;
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
