James G. Lytle

James G. Lytle, 82, of Bayview, Texas, passed away on July 26, 2017. He was born in Austin, Texas on July 10, 1935 to Melvin Ross Lytle and Agnes Rowena Page. He was married to Sylvia Susan Brittain Lytle for 51 years.

James worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. In the Navy, he served onboard the USS Boston, the first guided missile cruiser. James had a passion for many things, including rocks, coins and electronics. He loved to hunt and fish, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family!

James was preceded in death by his loving wife Susan; sons Ricky, Christopher and Johnny.

He is survived by his sister Sharron Simpson; son Russell Lytle, wife Janet; daughter Rena Lombardi; son Daniel Lytle, wife Wendy; grandchildren Anthony, Elishia, Patrick and Sean; great-grandchildren Isabella and Sylvia; and cousin Billy Lee Reams.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 a.m. and interment in Forest Park East Cemetery.
