James H. Malone

James Howard Malone (Jim), of Deer Park, TX, went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2015 in Midlothian, VA. He was 81 years old. He was born on November 30, 1933 in Houston, TX, to Mary Helen Davis and James Berry Malone. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, TX in 1951 and thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Army. He spent 2 years in the army at Fort Lewis in Washington where he received a National Defense Service Medal. He then returned to Houston, TX, where he married Betty Clyde Butler in 1957. Together they raised three daughters and were active in their church. While raising their daughters he worked at Sinclair Refining (now known as Lyondell) in Pasadena, TX. He was married to Betty until 1994 when she died from cancer. He married Lois Bradshaw in 2001 and remained married to her until his death. During that time James and Lois took many wonderful trips and were actively involved in their church and in the lives of their children and grandchildren. James, a wonderful Christian father and husband, loved football, fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed feeding and watching a variety of birds and squirrels. James was predeceased by his first wife, Betty C. Malone, and youngest daughter, Donna Lee Malone. He was also predeceased by his older brother, John Malone and younger sister, Charlotte Breed. He is survived by his wife, Lois Bradshaw Malone, daughter Cindy (Mark) Herrington, daughter Brenda (Rob) Walker, and stepdaughter Sandra (Darin) Clark. He is further survived by his granddaughter, Betty Geary, grandson Dmitri Walker, and step-granddaughters Lindsey (Derek) Laflamme and Lia (Manny) Floyd, and step-great-grandchildren Aedin and Amelia Laflamme. James is also survived by his older brother, George (LeeAnn) Malone, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial service celebrating James’ life will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, TX on August 14, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
