
We all love her very much. She loved all of us more than life itself.
Jean was born in Horn Lake, MS on July 3rd,1929 to Whitt D. McRee and Mabel Jobe.
She was the youngest of five children which all predeceased her:
Wilson McRee(Boots), Clarence McRee(Brother), Geneva Wooten(Sister) and
Mary Katherine Winchester(Kitty).
Her beloved husband Alfred Eugene Harrison, predeceased Jean on June 8, 1978.
She leaves behind two children and their spouses:
Mark Eugene Harrison married to Caroline
Catherine Duvall married to Kip

Jean’s Dachshund, Jacie Rae, who was right at her side for last eight years of her life!
Jacie Rae was given a loving home with Mark and Caroline.

Jean married her High School sweetheart, the love of her life Alfred(Al) Eugene Harrison on March, 1st 1947 in Hernando Mississippi.
She followed him during his Air Force military training to San Rafael, CA near San Francisco. When he was stationed in France during the Korean War she moved back home to Memphis to be near relatives.
https://admin.mem.com/sso/newde/10441901#keepsake/folder Their first child, Mark was born in Memphis on their Anniversary, March 1st 1956. Soon after, they left for Dayton Ohio where Al was stationed. Their daughter Catherine was born in Youngstown twenty months after Mark.
A few years later they left for Cape Cod, Massachusetts where Al was stationed in Providence. After his tour of duty in the US Air Force, Alfred was hired by Philco and transferred to Thule Air Base in Greenland. Again, Jean and kids moved to Memphis to be with relatives for two years. Following that, Al was transferred to Houston Texas by Philco-Ford Aerospace at Johnson Spacecraft Center in charge of simulations hardware for Mission Control.
They bought a home in Seabrook Texas in 1964. They raised their children boating, water skiing, weekend camping and having fun.
When their children were in middle school, Jean returned to work as an executive secretary for Martin Marietta and then Northrop-Grumman in the Life Sciences division at NASA. In her 60's she worked at the Johnson Spacecraft Museum for fun and enjoyed training college students that did internships or summer jobs there.
Al passed away way to soon in their happy life at the early age of 48. Jean lived in their home in Seabrook with the help of family, friends and neighbors until she was 90 years old.
A celebration of Life will be held 2pm, December 4th, 2021 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. Internment will follow immediately at grave-side in Forest Park Cemetery.
