Edna "Jean" Baker House, 79, of League City, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was born in Spur, Texas on February 15, 1936 to John Thomas Baker and Hazel Jeppie Mitchell. Jean was married to Donald Wayne House for 38 years. Jean worked in Retail for 20+ years at Sears and had a passion for bowling, arts and crafts, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Baker and Hazel Jeppie Mitchell Baker; her husband, Donald Wayne House; her two brothers, Richard C. Baker and Travis M. Baker; and her two sisters, Virginia (Jenny) Kinion and Tommie Jo (Sissy) Putman. Jean is survived by her four children Alan House and wife Leigh, Sharon House Garis and husband Bill, David House and wife Joan, and Paul House; her 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Jean’s Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Jean will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
