Jerry Gene Ingram, 86, of Bacliff, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born September 23, 1939, in Borger, Texas, Jerry was the son of Buddy and Ruth Ingram. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jerry carried through life a steady devotion to the people and purposes he held dear, meeting each season with the kind of love that was felt in everyday moments and remembered for a lifetime.
On July 9, 1965, Jerry married Muriel Baisden, and together they shared 61 years of marriage—years marked by commitment, faith, and the strength that grows from walking side by side through life’s joys and sorrows. He showed up for the people and places that mattered to him, like New Hope Baptist Church, which he attended with his wife, a shared rhythm of faith and fellowship that reflected the devotion at the center of his life.
Jerry’s hands were rarely still. He was artistic and crafty, with a persistence that showed in everything he made and mended. He found happiness in sailing and camping, and he poured his creativity into wood making and wood sculpting, painting, and even 3D printing—always drawn to the beauty of shaping something real from imagination, effort, and time.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Luana Burns, and her husband, Gerald Burns; and his daughter, Shannon Wukasch.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Muriel Ingram; his son, Robert Ingram; his grandson, Dalton Wukasch and his wife, Jessica Wukasch; two great-grandsons, Alexander and Jackson Wukasch; his niece, Pam Lanham; and his nephews, Gary and Alan Burns.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 3610 FM 646 Rd in League City, TX, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. A lunch will be served after the service at the church. A committal service will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy in Webster, TX, at 2:00 pm, following the lunch.
Though we mourn Jerry’s passing, we also celebrate a life richly lived—one shaped by service, strengthened by faith, brightened by creativity, and remembered most for the love he gave so freely to his family and to all who were blessed to know him.
