He was married to the love of his life, Pamela Murray for 53 years.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for 37 years. He had a passion for his family, wood working, reading, fishing, visiting New Braunfels, and above all serving the Lord. He had a beautiful soul and always gave of himself to others. He touched so many lives and to know him was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Arlene Murray and his parents, William and Anne Murray.
Left to cherish Melvin's memory are his sister, Dorothy Adams; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Melinda Murray; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Paul Dellinger, granddaughter Christina Owens and grandson Tyler Rogers, as well as beloved nieces and nephews Keith and Karen Buchanan, Andre and Monica Myers, and his great nephews Aiden and Brady Buchanan.
The service will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home with visitation starting at 9:00 AM. A private burial will be held for the family.
