Jerry Sembera

Jerry Henry Sembera, age 84, of Deer Park, Texas passed away on January 23, 2026.  Jerry was born to the late Alvin and Sophie Sembera on November 14, 1941, in Houston, Texas.  On January 21, 1966, Jerry married the love of his life, Judy Sowell, and together they had a son, Duane.  They shared 47 wonderful years of marriage before Judy went home to be with the Lord.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 on the USS Oriskany, receiving a Medal of Good Conduct.  Thereafter, Jerry worked as a first-class machinist for over 55 years.  He enjoyed gardening, do-it-yourself projects, college football and spending time with family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his beloved Judy.  He is survived by his son, Duane and grand “fur baby”, Kai, with whom he cherished spending time with.

Jerry will be remembered as a man of integrity who lived a good and honest life, marked by his strong work ethic and his commitment to a humble, traditional way of living.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:00 am, followed by a reception.
