Jesse was born in Texas City, Texas on October 25, 1976 to Jesse and Miranda Sandstrum.
Known as “Bubba” to family and friends and “Uncle Bubbie” to Theryn and Sadie. He was a special individual, one unlike anyone else. He did not need grand gestures of attention and did not require an audience. He was happy and content caring and supporting others, something he was destined to do. His kindness was apparent to all who met him and was never ceasing. Despite his quiet disposition, he did not hesitate to say what was on his mind when he had something to say. You could find him in a room full of people observing and enjoying the moment with a grin on his face. A grin that warmed hearts.
Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Irene Sandstrum, Hayne and Alice Fussell; Uncle, Jimmy Clark; Aunt, Joy Beadles. Left to cherish Jesse’s memories are his loving parents; ‘the’ sister, Alice and husband Therrick Lockette; beloved nieces and nephew, Theryn, Sadie, and Corie Lockette; Uncles and Aunts, Pat Beadles, Norma and Bobbie Ladnier, Sandra Clark, Hayne Jr. and Kim Fussell, Ronnie and Trudy Duhon; as well as numerous cousins and friends (You know who you are!).
Jesse enjoyed playing baseball from the time a ball and bat were placed in his hands and was fortunate to have his father and Uncle Jimmy teach him the game. His favorite pastime was on the water fishing with his father. He spent many late nights playing cards with his family and friends and was always willing to help his mother with her many tasks caring for her plants. Jesse, without a doubt, was a die-hard fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and Texas Longhorns.
His quiet caring spirit and supportive nature will be missed greatly, however, it will serve as a reminder of his loving presence.
