Joann was known for her love of collecting salt and pepper shakers, a hobby that brought her great joy throughout her life. She had a passion for gardening, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing her plants. Joann also enjoyed solving puzzles, which kept her mind sharp and active.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Juanita Ila Diamond.
Joann is survived by her husband James W. Gossett of 65 years, 11 months, and 4 days; children Roger Goodwin, Luanne Bray and her husband John, and Keith Gossett and his wife Leighann; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same venue, starting at 11:00 am. A committal service will also take place on the same day.
