Joe Ann Brown was born in South Houston, Texas, October 26, 1922, to Luster and Georgia Cartwright. She passed away April 7, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas. For 35 years she was a school secretary for Pasadena ISD at South Houston Elementary then L. F. Smith Elementary. She leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Elbert Brown; their two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheri & Don Newman and Cathy Beavers; three granddaughters; Kea Newman, Kelly Beavers & Kassie Beavers and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Forest Park East Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Springhill Suites, 1101 Magnolia Ave., Webster, Texas 77598.
