John E. Woolsey

He was married to Virginia C. Woolsey for 63 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956 and was in the reserves for 4 years and received honorable discharge in 1960. John had a career as a salesman and retired from Sears and Roebuck in 1988 where he worked for 14 years. John joined the Masons in 1956 where he was a Master Mason for over 50 years. He was also a members of the Arabia Shriners, A&A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Jaycees, Better Breathers, Mended Hearts, and Sr. Friends. He had a passion for fishing, traveling, cooking, and trying different restaurants. He loved life, always laughing with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dollie and Carter Woolsey; brothers James and Wayne; wife Virginia C. Woolsey and son John L. Woolsey.

John is survived by sister Mary and husband Rolly Ecklund; sister-in-law Ruby Woolsey; daughter Jane and husband Robert Reiland; 2 grandsons Timothy and wife Shannon Reiland and Matthew and wife Lindsey Reiland; 5 great grandchildren Alexis, Clayton, Mikaila, Paisley, and Mia.

A memorial service will be held Friday July 29, 2016 at 1:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.
