Jose Raymond Zepeda, 79, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2026. Born in Harlingen, Texas, on October 13, 1946, Jose was the beloved son of Tiburcio (Ted) and Rosaura Zepeda. His life was marked by steady devotion to the people and places he held close, and he will be remembered with gratitude for the years of love, loyalty, and presence he gave so generously.
Raymond was a proud member of American Legion Post 472, a connection that reflected his enduring sense of fellowship and appreciation for community. He also found genuine joy in vacationing in Las Vegas—a passion that brought him bright anticipation, memorable getaways, and stories cherished by those who knew him best.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio Zepeda and Rosaura Zepeda; his sister, Orfelinda (Linda) Alaniz; and his nephew, David Aaron Zepeda.
Raymond is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Zepeda and Rose Marie Zepeda; his son, Jose Andres Zepeda; his brothers, Roy Zepeda (Feliz), Robert Zepeda, Henry Zepeda (Kay), and Ted Zepeda (Liz); and his sister, Olga Z. Mauzy (Kevin). He is also lovingly remembered by his 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a loving family and friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A rosary will follow that same evening at 6:00 pm.
A funeral service will take place at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 am with a committal service to follow.
