Josephine M. Barfield, 95 of Houston, TX, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She was born in Snook, TX on April 13, 1921 to Joseph and Olga Foyt. She was married to David Barfield for 20 years. Josephine worked as a secretary for HPD, Chamber of Commerce, Medical Center and T.R.I.M.S. She was a member of SPJST and the Elks Lodge. She had a passion for travel - Hawaii, dancing and reading.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Olga Foyt; sisters, Olivia Greenwood, Ella Chambers and Anita Thorley. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Smith and husband Robert; grandson, Chris Smith and wife Maygan; great grandchildren, Leyee, Jaxon and Jett Smith; nephew, George Greenwood and wife Gloria; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
