Joyce Nottleman, age 73, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1950, in Lufkin, Texas, to Lonnie and Hazel Flowers.
Joyce is survived by her beloved daughter, Melisa Schreiber, and siblings Lloyd, Larry, and Winford Flowers, as well as her sister Marilyn Peña. She leaves behind a cherished array of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joyce will be remembered fondly by her pallbearers: Kevin and Ryan Schreiber, Justin Foxworth, Cory Hickman, James Stuksa, and Eric Winthrop.
Joyce had a passion for life and found joy in simple pleasures such as reading, fishing, and gardening. Her nurturing spirit led her to a career as a paraprofessional for Special Education, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and unwavering dedication to helping others.
Known as "Nana" to everyone who sought her wisdom, Joyce had a special place in the hearts of her family and those who adopted her as their Nana as well.
A Celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77058. In celebrating Joyce's life, let us remember the love she shared, the lessons she imparted, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered as a beacon of love and compassion. May she rest in eternal peace.
