Joyce Ernestine Price

Joyce Ernestine Price, 80, of Dickinson, Texas died peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family members on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. She was born October 15, 1931 in Rosevine, Texas to Ernest Morgan Dorsey and Mary Jewel Dorsey. Ernestine was raised in the Beaumont area. She later moved to Houston and then to San Leon with her loving husband in 1975 along with their two sons where they lived on the bay for 31 years. Ernestine enjoyed her retirement on the bay with great friends, growing grandchildren, and peaceful sunsets.

Ernestine is survived by her two sons, James Caroll Price, Jr. and wife Shanon Lea Pickens Price, Stephen Dorsey Price and wife Barbara Ann McCurley Price, grandchildren Grant Prewitt Price, James Connor Price, Niallson Dorsey Price, and Skye Morgan Price and many other loving family members and friends. Ernestine will be greatly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, James Carrol Price, who passed May 1st of this year, and her parents Ernest Morgan Dorsey and Mary Jewel Sturrock Dorsey.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday December, 3 2011 at 10 am at Faith Lutheran Church of Dickinson and burial will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday December 2,2011 at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Of all the things she taught us, to live love and laugh; she taught us to die gallantly.

The pall bearers will be Louis (Buddy) Cernosek, Kelly Quinn, Milton Kobza, Dean Kobza, and Doug Turner.
