Judith Dobson, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a true cornerstone of her family, peacefully departed from this world on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, while surrounded by her loved ones in her home.
Born into this world to her two loving parents, Burris and Marjorie Bence, on November 9, 1939, with a heart full of love and compassion.
She shared her life's journey with her cherished husband, Shelby Dobson, and together they built a lifetime of precious memories.
Judith was a loving mother to her two children, Brad Dobson and LaShelle Pardo. Her role as a mother was not just a title but a testament to her boundless care and devotion. She instilled in her children the values of love, compassion, and the importance of family and faith, qualities that will continue to be passed down through the generations.
Judith was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Malorie, Zachary, Trevor, and Mariah, and a great-grandmother to Brooks and Brody. Her roles as "Grandma" and “GiGi” brought her immense joy, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate them. She attended every event that she could to cheer them on with unwavering support and ensured they felt her abounding love.
Alongside her passionate love for her family, Judith was a fierce competitor. She left her mark on the tennis court, achieving an impressive five state rankings in doubles. Her competitive spirit inspired those around her and served as a reminder of the determination she brought to every aspect of her life.
As a devout Christian, Judith’s life was marked by her assured faith in God and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her belief was not just a part of her life; it was the foundation that guided her every action. Her faith provided her with strength, hope, and assurance, and she shared her love of Christ with everyone she met.
As we bid farewell to Judith, we carry forward the lessons she imparted: the importance of family, love, selflessness, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all those she touched, reminding us of the profound impact one person's love, devotion, and faith can have on a family.
We celebrate Judith's extraordinary life, her love that knew no bounds, her unwavering commitment to those she held dear, and her steadfast faith in God.
