Julio worked as a pipe yard builder for the oilrigs for Davis Lynch for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed watching football and boxing and had a passion for his family and friends. He was a member of Templo Cristo Para Todos in Alvin, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Olivia Galvan; brothers Eugene Galvan, Jr., Reynaldo Galvan; sisters Maria Martinez and Alice Sanchez.
He is survived by loving wife of 51 years, Tomasa Galvan; daughters Stephanie Galvan and Geneieve Hamric; sons Julian Galvan and Vincent Galvan; sister-in-law Victoria Garcia; grandkids Andrea Hamric, Sarah Sells, Ashley Cardoza, Josh Hamric, Julian Isaac Galvan, Isaiah Moreno, Elijah Moreno, Angie Trevino, Jacob Galvan and Jillian Galvan; great-grandkids Lilli and Sofia Vargas, Ryleigh and Joshua Benjamin Hamric, Madelynn Moreno, Josiah Moreno, Jesse James Brenham, Anberlin Ixi and Julian Able Galvan, III and Baby Cardoza and Baby Moreno on the way.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Julio’s Celebration of Life will be Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Forest Park East with interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
