Kanjikuzhimaliyil Babychan Varkey Thomas

Kanjikuzhimaliyil Varkey Thomas was born on 7th May, 1939 at Kottayam, India. He was raised in a Jacobite Syrian Christian tradition. Mr. Thomas’s father was a pioneer in bakery business in Kottayam and he oversaw many bakeries in and around Kottayam. He got married to Annamma Aprem on April 24, 1960.

In 1979, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Thereafter, he was an active member of IPC Vadavathoor. In 1997, he immigrated to United States and continued to stay there till date actively worshiping the Lord with IPC Hebron, Houston.

K. V Thomas has been a devoted husband, an exceptional father, and loving grandfather. He was widely acknowledged among his friends & families for his calm demeanor and benevolent attitude. Fondly called as “Pappa” in his hometown, he is destined to be etched in the memories of everyone as one who showed how to be simple, loving and caring just by living his life.

On June 5, 2012, K.V Thomas was called to be with the Lord. His eldest daughter Jaya was promoted to glory in 1996. He is survived by his wife Annamma Thomas, children: Suja Varghese, Shini Mathew and Tiju Thomas. Sons-in- law: Pastor Mathew Oommen, John Varghese, Kuruvilla Mathew, daughter-in-law: Julie Thomas, grandchildren: Akza, Chris, Sheril, Steby, Sharon, Michelle, Nathan, Jennisa, Chrislyn, to be born grand Son and great grandchild: Jonathan.
