Karen Elaine Adams

She was born in Richmond, Texas on January 9th, 1963 to Oscar & Elizabeth Dusek. She was married to Joseph Adams for 34 years.

Karen loved the water. She enjoyed staying in a condo in Galveston Beach, listening to the waves and watching ships come in. She enjoyed kayaking and riding jet skis on Lake Conroe.

Her grandchildren were her passion, and the time she got to spend with them meant so much to her.

Karen was preceded in death by her son, Hunter Adams; her parents, Oscar and Elizabeth Dusek; her in-laws, Johnnie and Mary Ann Adams; her sister, Susan, and her husband, Bill Jones; her brother, Chip Dusek; and her sisters-in-laws, Julie Adams and Beckie Adams.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Adams; her brothers, Robert Dusek and Lee Dusek, and his wife, Lucia; her daughters, Jamie Fernandez and husband, John, Heather Barton and husband, Alex, and Jodie Bickford and husband, Corey; her twelve grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Throughout her long illness, Karen’s faith remained strong. She was an incredible wife, mom, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on October 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life on October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
