Karen won her hard fought battle with ovarian cancer on January 3, 2015, passing away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family and dogs. A hard working Postal Service employee for 34 years, serving as Post Master for Texas City and Pearland, Karen put God first in her life and loved her family above all things.
Karen was preceded in joining the Lord by her mother, Juanita Williams Parson.
Karen is survived by Annette Kalandros, her spouse; Ericka Kalandros, her daughter; Henry Parson, her father; Judy Parson, her step-mother; Henry Parson Jr., her brother, and his wife, Sheila, and their children Blake, Brian and Tyler Parson; Donna Stansfield, her sister and her children, Randy Stansfield and Rachel Wheeler.
The viewing and services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. The viewing is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7th with funeral services starting at 3:00 pm.
