Karen Samantha Schnautz

Karen Samantha Schnautz, 58, of South Houston, passed away on September 17, 2026. Born on March 8, 1968, in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, Karen was the beloved daughter of David and Violet Adlam, and she moved to the United States when she was just a few months old. Her life was shaped by steady devotion and an open-hearted kind of love—one that built strong, lasting connections and made people feel truly seen and held close.

Karen found joy in the simple comforts of everyday life, especially watching TV—most memorably *The Office* and *Seinfeld*. She cherished her close-knit friends and family, and nothing lit her up more than spoiling her grandchildren. If Karen liked you, she loved you—and she made that love unmistakable in the warmth, loyalty, and care she offered so freely. One of the clearest reflections of Karen’s heart was the deep devotion she had for animals. She loved them—especially her pets—not simply as companions, but as cherished members of her family.

For 32 years, Karen worked in sales accounting for Continental, bringing the same commitment and steadfastness to her work that she gave to the people she loved. Through the years, she created a home and a family life grounded in tenderness and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of deep bonds and a love that will continue to be felt in countless small moments.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Violet (Willings) Adlam and her beloved dog, Roscoe. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Vernon Schnautz; her daughter, Amber Wheeler and her husband Matthew; her son, Brandon Schnautz and his wife Haley; her grandchildren, Logan Wheeler, Myles Wheeler, Jackson Schnautz, and one on the way, Karson Schnautz; her father, David Adlam; her sister, Kristen Adlam; her niece Brinley Rusk; her nephew Britton Rusk; her dog Gage and her five cats, Simon, Trinity, Khaleesi, Kai, and Momma.

A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas, on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception.
