Karen was married to the love of her life James Zink Jr. for 41 years. She retired from Brown and Root after 41 years where she was a senior executive assistant.
She had a passion and deep love for her twin boys and her “grand-girls.” She also enjoyed growing her flowers.
Karen was preceded in death by her father Albert Syzdek Sr., grandparents Ike and Rosie Syzdek, Ulysses Nash, Alice and Ed Macierowski, and nephew Justin Stidham.
Left to cherish Karen’s memory are her mother Madeline Najera (Herman), husband James R. Zink Jr., sons Cody Zink (Brianna) and Kyle Zink. Granddaughters Makenlee and Hadlee Zink, brothers Mark Syzdek (Lisa), Albert Syzdek Jr. (Tasha), sister Jackie Stidham (Billy) and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and countless friends.
Serving as pallbearers are: Jared Stidham, Trey Stidham, Conner Syzdek, Collin Syzdek, Chris Syzdek, and Jason Holcombe.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 6th from 4:30-7:30 pm with a Rosary starting at 6:30 pm in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Mass will be held Friday, February 7th at 10:00 am at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church located at 2921 Center Street Deer Park. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
