Kathy Lynn Whitbey, born on September 17, 1948, passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 76. While residing in Houston, Texas, Kathy was known for her resilience, truthfulness, and artistic nature.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Betty Wiersma.
She is survived by her son, Nicholas Whitbey, and his wife, Mirasol; her daughter, Brandy Yassin, and her husband, Fady; as well as her cherished grandchildren.
With her artistic soul, Kathy found joy in creating beautiful creations out of nothing. In her own way, she brought light into a grey world.
Her memory will be fondly cherished by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 am.
