Kenneth David Mallett, Sr., age 93, of League City, Texas passed away on September 2, 2020. He was a Veteran serving in the US Navy during World War II and was a retired Engineer in the Aircraft Industry. Ken enjoyed gardening, was a member of League City Garden Club, and all forms of art including woodworking, jewelry and especially painting.
Ken was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Bernice Madaline Mallett; parents; daughter, Diane Mallett; and brother, Bob Mallett. He is survived by his son, David Mallett; daughter, Denise Mallett; grandson, John Mallett (Amy); granddaughter, Thyra Bari (Bob); great-grandchildren, Bryson, Makayla, Joseph, Bishop, Ella, Hunter and Cooper.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at League City United Methodist Church, 1601 West League City Parkway, League City, Texas 77573. A funeral service will follow Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Ken will be laid to rest 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Family and friends attending the committal service should arrive by 10:30 am at Houston National Cemetery on Friday.
