passed away in the afternoon of the 23rd day of June. Lauro was born in 1954 in La Rosita, Tamaulipas, Mexico. At the age of one, he migrated to the United States where he was raised in Elsa, Texas. He graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School in 1972 and then attended Pan-American University in Edinburg, TX. Lauro had resided in Houston, TX. for the last 23 years where he worked as an Instrument Technician for different contracting companies in the surrounding area.
He married his best friend and high school sweetheart, Ludy on January 31, 1979. Lauro helped raise his two daughters with patience, discipline, and humility. He taught them to be kind and caring individuals and always emphasized the importance of family and education.
Lauro truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends and family, an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge, a passion for cycling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Lauro had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
Lauro is survived by his wife, Ludy of 42 years; his children: Marissa O'Bryant, Margo (Mark) Silva; his grandchildren: Danielle O'Bryant, Andrea Pena, Matthew O'Bryant, Daniel Larry Silva, Ava O'Bryant, Megan Silva, and Mia O'Bryant; his sisters: Aeropajita (Sam) Shattuck, Teresa (Carlos) Vasquez, Patricia (Rolando) De La Rosa; and his brother: Robert (Tina) Garza.
Lauro is now reunited with his mother: Maria Montelongo Garza and his father Casimiro Garza who have preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed.
