Lenton O. Bush Jr.

He was born in Moselle, Mississippi March 4, 1926 and married Voncile Havard Bush on September 2, 1944.

L J was a faithful member of Christ Church in Houston, Texas for 27 years. He was a welder for over 50 years before retiring to spend quality time with his family. L J was fascinated with music as a child and played the guitar with family and friends throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Myrtle and Lenton Ogden Bush Sr, daughter Linda Stanley, grand daughter Tracie Lynn Scott, and son-in-laws Dewane Dyer and Bill Flower.

Surviving family members include his wife Voncile Havard Bush, daughters Dianne Flower, Katherine Dyer, Gloria Scott and husband Jerry, son Rick Bush and wife Coco. Additional survivors include son Michael Bush and wife Pam from Texas City, Texas as well as son-in-law Billy Stanley from Beaumont, Texas. L J is also survived by 37 grand children, 31 great grand children, and 5 great great grand children.

The family expresses gratitude to Memorial Southeast Hospital for the care he received, Christ Church for the love and support, as well as all family members and friends that have given support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Christ Church 12815 Fuqua Houston, Texas 77034. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00am at Christ Church in Houston, with the interment at Forest Park East Cemetery.
