Leslie H. Peavler

Leslie Helen Stockton Peavler went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 18, 2014, at the age of 77. She was born on June 30, 1937, in Loveland, Colorado, to Katherine Alice Stockton and Malcom George Stockton which preceded her in death along with her older sister Lois Elizabeth Robinson Barlow. Leslie is survived by her son Joe Stephenson, daughter Catherine Ione Locklin, granddaughter Laurie Michelle Butt, great grandson Dominick , bother Malcom Stockton Jr and many nieces, nephews family and friends.

In her early years, Leslie worked for the Ford Motor Company. She attended the Dale Carnegie School of Leadership Training as well as led the region in sales for the company. She served as regional manager for Dairy Queen in the Houston/ Beaumont area for several years. She was an avid interior decorator, gardener, quilter and cook. She loved to entertain her friends and family every chance she got.

A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park East ,21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster , Texas 77598, on Wednesday July 30,2014,@ 10:00am. Viewing will begin at 9:00am. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in her name to the Susan B. Komen Foundation for finding a cure for breast cancer or Sarah’s House in Pasadena, a home for battered women and children.
