My sweet, sweet friend, Lee. It is with heavy heart I learn of your passing. But knowing you are with your loved ones is sweet peace. I loved you dearly and treasure the times of laughter spent with you at the Marriott. Your sweet laugh will be in my heart forever. You were truly my friend. I will miss you so.

I meet Lee when I was10 years old when my family drove to Houston to visit my grandparents--Vernon & Lucille Patterson.  We lost contact over the years until my Aunt Mabel suggested I ask Lee to submit a recipe to a Patterson cookbook I was putting together.  I so enjoyed talking to her during that time and wish we could have met again.  She will be in my prayers.

Dear Lord, Bless Lee, my cousin and take care of her, for she is special. Watch over Patti, Bobby and Bill and ease their pain for the loss of their beloved mother. Let the angels sing joyfully as the gates of Heaven open for such a wonderful and delightful person to enter into your kingdom. Take care of her and love her as I do. For all the laughter, all the funny stories of her and my mother as they grew up, and all the good times they shared will remain in my heart forever. I love you, Lee!! May God Bless you and your family.

It is with a sad heart that I found out today that my friend, Lillian (Lee) Patterson had passed away back on June 7, 2015. My sincere condolences to Patti and the rest of the family. She will be missed I assure you!
