Linda Hallene Shearer, 58, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Houston, Texas. She was born September 3, 1962, to David and Donna Hallene.

On May 23, 1982, she married Dean P. Shearer. They spent 37 years together and had two loving children. She was actively involved in their lives, from school to sports activities, playing the role of chauffeur, teacher, counselor, coach, cheerleader and friend, while never missing a beat.

She started her career as a legal secretary, until deciding to take some time off to stay home with her children. When they were older, she went back to school and got her Paralegal Certificate. She then started working with her husband, turning his dream of his own law practice into a reality.

Linda loved spending time with family, friends, trying new restaurants, experiencing new things with Dean, listening to live music, going to the beach, traveling, cooking, reading, helping out her church, and spending time with her dogs Annabelle and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Donna; her father-in-law, Clyde; and her husband Dean. She is survived by her children, Stephanie and her fiancé, Ronny and son Ryland; her son, John and his wife, Kristen; two granddaughters, Sumner and Sloane; her two brothers, David and Jimmy; her two sisters, Donna and Pam; her mother-in-law, Elaine; her sister-in-law, Cheryl; her brother-in-law, Michael; and multiple nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A visitation for Linda will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas. Linda and Dean shared life in every way. They celebrated, they struggled but most of all they loved. Each other and their families. They supported each other and set a fine example of how it should be done. They were both taken way too soon but now they rest together and I pray that their love ones will find peace in that.

Linda was my niece and knew her for many, many years. She came to visit us in El Paso TX at least once and we always had a great time together. I would, also, visit her in Houston. She was a gentle ,
caring wife, mother, friend and person. Her husband passed away a few years back and she carried on as well as possible.
The one thing that will always stay with me is that she had mentioned wanting to visit me again. This was after Dean passed and just before the Pandemic hit. I had told her she was always welcomed and we discussed the issue a few times during 2020. I am so sorry she wasn't able to make the visit materialize.
May you rest in Peace, my Dear. Know you have already met up with Dean. Love you lots. Will miss your smile and sparkle. Aunt Bev
