Lindsie Marie Andrews, 47, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2026. Born in Freeport, Texas on April 8, 1979, Lindsie was the long-time partner of Craig Lackey, the daughter of John Andrews III and Linda Grubb, and the older of twins by just a few precious minutes—a detail that, in its own quiet way, hints at the warmth and loving nature she carried through life.
Lindsie devoted herself to her students as a teacher with Clear Creek ISD, giving her days to the kind of care that doesn’t call attention to itself, but changes lives all the same. That same kind-hearted spirit shaped the rest of her world: in her love of soccer, in her deep devotion to family, and especially in the joy she took in spoiling her nieces, and nephews, and grandkids—small moments of generosity that made ordinary days feel like something to celebrate.
She will be greeted in Heaven by her twin sister Leslie Belinsky; her paternal grandfather John Andrews, Jr. (Papa) and paternal grandmother Pauline Andrews (Mimi); and her maternal grandmother Ruth Neely (Grandmommy) and maternal grandfather Bill Neely (Granddaddy).
Lindsie is survived by the love of her life, Craig Lackey and his daughters Brianna Gibson and her husband Cody and Amanda Kertianis and her husband Josh; grandchildren Emery, Marvis, Gavin, Brayden, Ashlynn, Hudson, Sully, and Collins; in-laws Gail Alves, Gay Lynn Hoskins and her husband Randy, Mark Lackey and his wife Christi, Brian Lackey, and Justin Rodgers and his wife Jessica; her mother Linda Grubb and step-dad Julius Grubb; her father John Andrews III and step-mom Barbara Andrews; her brother Jay Andrews and his wife Sarah Andrews; her nieces and nephews, Emma, Robert, and Brynlie Andrews, Brooke and Trevor Staples, and Kynlee and Parker Sloan; her step-siblings, Jimmy and Joey Staples, Heather Grubb, and Misty Sloan; her aunts and uncles, Steve and Suzan Furney, Kyle and Diana Neely, Amy and Kelly Jordan, and Jena and Brian Kirkland; and her cousins, Tyler and Lisa Furney, Daniel and Emily Furney, Sarah and Daniel McCutchen, Chris and Diane Jordan, Nick and Katie Jordan, Heather Jordan and Jason Vinh, Nicole Jordan, Eric Neely, Cecilia Neely, Savannah Kirkland, and Justin Long, Dalton Kirkland, and Neely Kirkland, and Mason Kennedy.
Though her time here was far too short, those who loved Lindsie will carry forward what she gave so freely—steady affection, thoughtful presence, and a heart that found its truest happiness in loving others unconditionally.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
