We want to celebrate the life of our beloved mother and grandmother, Lois June Seale.
Lois was raised by two very important and influential women in her life, her Mother and Grandmother;
Her mother Emily brought the joy and laughter to her life and her grandmother Florence, who brought the stability and firm hand. Even though she had a rocky beginning she always had a joyful antidote to share about her and her two brothers, Bud and Buzzy. You could see it on her face and hear it in her voice that she could find the good in many difficult situations. This served her well in her marriages; to my father Warren, Ken’s father Gene and then when Gene passed away to her third and final husband Johnny.
Lois means in the Greek “Most Beautiful”
She was an Artist, Dancer, Model, Arm-wrestler (in which she beat many men) Story Teller, Comedian, Nurse, Homemaker, World Traveler, Caterer and Waitress
A Teacher, Councilor, Loyal Friend, Faithful Spouse, Loving Mother and Grandmother
She was Passionate, Friendly to anyone, Comforting, Loving, and Prayerful always giving second and many more chances. At times Rebellious but quickly repentant; Angry but would seek reconciliation.
No one can know the beauty of a person’s life and the influence they have had in other people. Sure, some things were frustrating, but the essence and beauty of her life makes me and those who have known and loved her, the richer for it.
She was REAL, not fake, what you see is what you get.
Through many difficult circumstances that would make any person hardened, bitter and angry at God, this dear lady turned to the Lord constantly for strength and encouragement. She became more merciful and gave people the benefit of the doubt over and over, sometimes to her own hurt. She had a sweet relationship with the Lord that many only dream about and shared her love for God with her children and her grandchildren and so many others.
Many do not know that Lois had been showing signs of Dementia beginning in 2007 and possibly earlier. Early detection is very important these days because there are many drug therapies available that can help when it is identified early enough. A blessing for us in such an ugly disease was that she never became profane or mean in the illness but was pleasant and very social until the disease dominated her. Our prayers were that she would not suffer endlessly. After signing with Hospice several weeks ago they enhanced her care beautifully and she passed over exactly as we hoped and prayed, sweetly and peacefully in her sleep into the awaiting arms of her Savior and danced before her King.
