Tracy,I feel deprived that I never met your mother after hearing so many wonderful things about her from my sister and reading the entries from her other friends.I am so sorry for your loss.

Lou Cille Scoggins was an icon of Dickinson and could do anything.  She was our super mom and mentor.   You could count on her support at all our competitive events from gymnastics, to swimming and diving meets, as well as tennis tournaments.  As a state tennis champion she understood our competitive drive and was there to offer encouragement during our wins and through the losses.    Kids always came first to her, was why she was such a great government teacher.   I will always remember her wonderful sense of humor and her beautiful laugh.   I know she is enjoying playing tennis with her new friends in heaven.

Some people are so special, you think they will be here forever and Lou Cille was one of those treasured people.  Had her for a teacher.  She never missed a day of school by the way, and was so tickled to tell us all that.  I was so proud that I invited her to our 30th DHS Reunion, and she was so happy to be included.  She enjoyed visiting with everybody.  I remember my sister Missy took me to Traci's back yard where we would swing on this huge swing in her back yard with her...always the athlete.  It was so cool,and Traci's parents loved having her friends over.  Many Prayers to you every day Traci, and your Mother Lou Cille will be missed and remembered so much. Of all the teacher memories I have, the one that has always stood out for me is Lou Cille Scoggins.   She was my tennis coach and my go to teacher.  She always knew if I was having a rough day and took the time to encourage me.  What a special lady, your mom!  She was the most genuine, sincere, and positive influence in my academic life.  I often think of her.  I have two young children now and hope for them that they find many Lou Cille Scoggins throughout their lives.  She made a positive impact in my life.  Tracy, I also have fond memories of watching you dive at the swim club.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  She was loved and will be remembered and missed by so many.

We only got to share a quick afternoon with you and Lou Cille.  In those few hours, we knew just how wonderful she was.  She loved you so much. Our deepest of thoughts are with you and we'll keep you both in our hearts.

Mrs Scoggins was such a true joy.  I remember seeing her bounce down the halls of DHS always with a smile on her face and a funny comment to say.  She is admired by so many.  Tracy, God bless you and may you know that all of us are praying for you to find peace in your time of loss.

To know the mommie wombat is with Jesus is the only comfort I can think of..but what a wondeful comfort to KNOW, that in a twinkling of an eye..we'll all be reunited with the wombat..and I bet she'll have a "deal" waiting for us on a mansion.  :-)
I love you NUGGY..and I'll miss the wombat so much that words can't convey it.  She was, and is..a light.  She made us laugh so many times.  And kept us "schooled" and educated us on so many subjects.  What a wonder of intelligence she had.  :-)
I pray God would bring you comfort and peace now and always.   LOVE My NUGGY!!  And, the Mommie.

A loss of another Dickinson Icon.  Mrs. Scoggins was such a joy to know and such an amazing woman that touched so many who have lives.  She will be missed and remembered by many.  We are sorry for your loss Tracy.

I am so distraught and empty right now, but blessed that I was able to spend the time I did with you last week. I cant even begin to imagine that you are no longer here.  I'll miss you, Mommie Wombat.

Tracy...my prayers are with you, and you know when you're ready...I'm here for you.

I am so sad.  I just wrote an article about our two lovely Scoggins women; truly both Roses of Dickinson (Lou Cille and her daughter Tracy) and she passed before she got to read it.  I loved her every time I got to have her as a sub or teacher. She is one of the people I think of when I try and model a good teacher. She was a woman who could make a connection with just about student.  I will miss her.  My condolences to her family and Tracy especially.
