NICOLOSI, LOUIS JOSEPH, JR. After a brief illness, he was called home to his Savior at University of Texas Medical Branch Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, TX, on April 11, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. He was 50. A resident of Friendswood, TX and native of Plaquemine, LA, he was dedicated to his family, to whom he devoted much of his time, energy and talents. He was a graduate of Plaquemine High School, Southeastern Louisiana University, and Delgado Charity School of Nursing. He was a combat veteran of the Iraq War and retired member of the Louisiana Army National Guard, where he served for 23 years and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. While attending nursing school, he served as an Emergency Medical Technician in New Orleans, LA, where he met his wife and soulmate, Karlene. He became a registered nurse and worked in hospitals in the New Orleans and Houston areas.
He is survived by his wife, Karlene B. Nicolosi and their children: daughter, Jiana (15); son, Tyler (14), daughter Vittoria (11), all of Friendswood, TX; two sisters, Sharla Bond of Charlotte, NC and Rachel Nicolosi of Bend, OR; a brother, David Nicolosi of Plaquemine, LA; mother-in-law, Nieves Balinbin of Kenner, LA; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. Nicolosi, Sr., and Rosamond Bateman Nicolosi, and sister Lisa Nicolosi.
A viewing with the family will be held on Thursday, April 15, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2535 E. Broadway St., Pearland, TX, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M., followed by burial service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow, at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX.
