She was married to Hardy S. Jarrell for 61 years. After completing school, she entered Nurse’s training in Enid, OK from 1939-1942. She served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lt. After Army discharge, she worked in varied hospitals as a Registered Nurse for 32 years.
Lucille had a passion for spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, playing games, and especially domino games. She was an avid fan of the Houston Astros.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hardy S. Jarrell, by her parents Murl and Valera Wright, brothers and sister in laws Emmit and Norma Wright, Leo and Betty Wright, Cyril and Virginia Wright, brothers Wayne Wright, Joe Wright and brother-in-law Don Etcheson, Vandalia, IL. In laws Lawrence and Mary Douglas, James and Opal Jarrell, Roland and Lorita Jarrell, Malcolm and Wanda Jarrell, Mother-in-law Deta Jarrell.
Her survivors include her Sister Berniece Etcheson, Vandalia, IL brother Ray Wright and wife Carol Wright Columbus, OH, daughter Barbara Bownds of Westlake OH, sons Thomas Jarrell of Houston TX, William Jarrell of Hemphill TX and Jeffrey and wife Susan Jarrell Lake Jackson TX. Grand children Kristi and husband Ken May, Mark Bownds, Taylor and husband Bruce Pomerleau, Joey Jarrell, Michael Jarrell, Meghan Jarrell, Timothy and wife Allison Kellum. Great grandchildren Kaleb, Kameron, and Khloe May.
