Lyla D. Tholen-Prino, 66, of Hitchcock, Texas passed away June 3, 2016. She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 21, 1949. Lyla retired from the Galveston Independent School District. She was a member of the Parrot Heads and had a passion for her family, her babies (cats), and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald Tholen and Betty Rutledge; and brother Andy Tholen.
Lyla is survived by her sister Linda Jo Tholen-Sembera and husband Chris; her children Kenneth Welch and wife Kathy, Misti Autrey and Dale, Ian Prino and wife Brittany, and Josh Prino and wife Michelle; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Donna Tholen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home.
