He was preceded in death by he parents Rev. Manuel Urbina, and Professor Irene Salce de Urbina, two infant brothers: Manuel Jr. and Caleb, and a sister, Bernice Urbina Gonzalez.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. Marcos Urbina, and four sisters: Dorcas Urbina DeSoto, Eunice Urbina Horning (Husband James), Loida Urbina Boatman, Febe Urbina, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Manuel was a Legal Scholar, Legal Research Historian, Author, U.S. Dept. State Scholar Diplomat, 1979, international oral and video history interviewer, editor, speaker, contributor of articles to local and international newspapers, legal counsel, and member of many professional organizations. He was a professor at College of the Mainland, Texas City, Texas for 47 years. Manuel received his B.S - Howard Payne College, 'Brownwood, Texas, M.A - UNAM - Mexico, City, M.A - University of Texas - Austin, Ph.D. - University of Texas, Austin, J.D. - University of Houston College of Law, postgraduate - Cambridge U (England). He was an ordained Baptist minister, Radio Spanish preacher in Brownwood, Texas, and pastor in Taxco, Mexico while in college. He volunteered on 33 foreign missionary trips, he was a member of South Main Baptist Church, Houston. He was selected as Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.

The Funeral will take place at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US, on October 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Committal at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US, on October 10, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
A Catered Reception will be held at Forest Park East after the Committal, on October 10, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
