A man of many talents and skills, Mark was hard-working and devoted throughout his life. Professionally, he was a mechanical engineer, recognized as a 1st class engineer. He was an enthusiast of welding and metal work, an expert in taking apart motors, and had various certifications, including A/C technician certification and the qualification of a diesel mechanic, all of which he taught himself.
Mark was a long-time and dedicated member of Sacred Heart and St. Helen's Catholic churches. Outside of his professional accomplishments, he had a deep passion for fishing and was known to be a great fisherman, a skill he developed alongside his characteristic ability to entertain with both humor and seriousness.
He was warmly married to Luviminda Miranda Capoy for 59 years, and they were soon to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Together, they enjoyed the richness of their family, which includes his beloved sons, Noel Capoy and Philip Capoy with his wife, Olivia; his cherished daughter Lynn Capoy De Hoyos and her husband, Luis; and his lovely grandchildren, Bryanna, Madeline, Ayianna, Christian, Elyse, and Carter. He also leaves behind a precious great-grandson, Aiden, alongside siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
