Was a dedicated housewife and mom for many years. Margaret enjoyed volunteering with the Santa Fe Braves and Starlets where she led the drill team and ran the concession stand for many years. Later in life she worked with her sister as a receptionist for Dr. Ahmeduddin at Mainland Pathology.
She was of the Pentecostal faith of which gave her solace and had a passion for slot machines and holidays--especially 4th of July and Christmas; she enjoyed cooking, baking, and loved the beach. She cherished her time with all her friends at Heritage Crossing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Berniece Fruge and her daughter Melinda.
She is survived by her brother Eddie Fruge and wife Inita, sister Diane Henderson and husband Brad, her children Cindy Rex and partner Jay, Darrin Howard and wife Jeana, Denise Baker and husband Richard. Grandchildren: Erin Killian, Michael Rehm, Jessica Rex, Rachel Zaro, Justin Baker, Hailey Hoke, Hannah, Haydan and Hallie Baker and Blake and Madison Howard and last but certainly not least 10 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions to Margaret’s memorial fund at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery
A memorial service for Margaret will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Following the memorial service will be a committal service at Forest Park East Cemetery.
