Margie Sue Nelson, age 80, of Crosby Texas passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Margie was born April 26, 1941 in Houston to Norman and Evelyn Graham. She lived in Crosby for 30 to 35 years and rode bikes, golfed, and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She did oil painting also. She loved Crosby and had many neighbors and friends.She enjoyed going out to dinner with friends on Saturday night.

She was married to Bill Nelson for 52 years and she enjoyed cooking for him. After his demise she could be seen with Sherry and Jim Bailey going out to dinner or at their home for holidays.She loved to laugh and would make jokes because she felt there was not enough laughter in this world and that laughter helps people. Margie will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by Bill Nelson, niece Missy Solice, Shreveport, Louisiana and Kevin Hickenbotam.

She is survived by twin sister Mary Lou Sanders; niece Tamrha (Mike) Woodley, Hallsville, Texas; nephew Dee Ray Rogers, LaPorte, Texas. She has 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. She is also survived by her son Tracy Merle Nelson.

A visitation for Margie will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the family.
