Marie was born on November 24th, 1944, to Julian and Doris “Jeane” (Pratka) Kujawa in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1963 where she played in many varsity sports and was on the honor roll. After graduating, she was married and became a wonderful and loving mother to her daughter, Donna. She then began her 40-year career at Centerpoint Energy (formerly known as United Gas and Entex) where she made many cherished and life-long friends.
Marie excelled in sports, sewing, crafts, and she was an amazing cook and baker! She loved dancing, horseback riding, casinos, camping, floating on the river, and traveling to new places. She also enjoyed the many cruises she took with David, her beloved husband of 31 years. She was always well-dressed with her makeup done and had hair as big as her heart. Her contagious laugh filled every room she was in. She loved bargain hunting, gift-giving, and quality time. She always made sure no one went home hungry and loved having family gather around a table. What she cherished most of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her daughter Donna Hansen (James Colyer) and grandchildren Kelsey Adams (Aaron), Julie Hubbard (Cole), and Jacob Hansen. Great-grandchildren Colson and Caden Hubbard and Aksel Adams. Son David Lee Dudley (Patty) and grandchildren Tyler Dudley, Rachel Russo (Nicholas), John Dudley (Pratiti). Great-grandchildren Scarlett, Robin, and Dorothy Russo. Daughter Brenda Love. Grandson Colby Love. Sister Linda Kujawa. Sisters-in-law Donna Cain and Peggy Schulte (Larry). Previous Son-in-Law, Mike Hansen. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Marie is also survived by her Dachshund Fur-baby, Mimi Dudley.
