Marilyn was born on October 20, 1948, in Delhi, Louisiana. Marilyn was the daughter of Albert Wesley and Birdie Bell Townsend. Marilyn shared life with five siblings: Clavis, Jo Evelyn, David, Lorelle, Polly, and Jerry. She loved her many nieces and nephews dearly.
Marilyn also shared her married life with three brother in-laws Larry, Rick, and Kenneth Roberts and their amazing parents Jack and Katherine Roberts.
Marylin was married to Michael Roberts and they danced through fifty-one years of love together. Marilyn and Michael have three wonderful children: Lana, and husband Randal Crowley, John Paul Overstreet, and Timothy Roberts, and his wife Shawn.
Marylin and Michael have three beautiful granddaughters: Tiffany Summerville, Ashley Summerville, and Isabella Roberts.
Aside from being an aspiring author, Marilyn was a bank manager in savings and loans for many years. Her entrepreneurial spirit was cast over her work with medical transcription for several private medical practices and took pride in her real estate and commodity ventures. She also had an enormous love for gaming.
Marylin read her way through a life full of dreams and fantasies that made everyone in her presence want to dream.
Pall Bearers will be Richard Summerville, Kelly Powell, Daniel Ortega, Jason Gerstner, Bruce Cox, and Devin Fussell. With honorary Pall Bearers: John Paul Overstreet and Timothy Roberts.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Forrest Park East in Webster, Texas at 1:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm. Communal gathering will follow.
