Mark Alan Bliss was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on June 19, 1951 and passed away on November 10, 2025 at the age of seventy-four, in Houston, Texas. Mark was one of five children born to Robert and Martha Bliss including brothers Robert, Paul, Jack, and James.
He is survived by his son James Robert, daughter-in-law, Bethany, his grandchildren Samantha, Thomas James, and Arthur Bliss, his brother James, his nieces and nephews, and his special relationship with Rukiya, and her sons Greg and Kiefer.
Mark received his degree in accounting and finance from Jacksonville State University. His career spanned the Federal Reserve Bank, US Steel, and Marathon Oil.
Mark loved fishing, golf, current events, blogging, and producing 3 D models to delight his grandchildren.
His weekly interaction with friends Brian, Skip, Paul and Chris, among others, were important and valued by him.
Mark was well loved and will be missed.
