Martin P. Zapalac, Jr., 76 of Houston, TX, passed away March 11, 2020. He was born in Sealy, Texas on February 2, 1944 to Tekla Haczynski and Martin P. Zapalac, Sr. Lovingly known as "Junior" by his parents and named "Skiz" by his Grandfather Haczynski, which his siblings also called him. He was married to Marie Zapalac for 25 years. He had a career with Air Liquide for 44 years. His interests and hobbies were his dogs, blue pick-up truck ("Blue"), and landscaping. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister (Elizabeth Zapalac Schoppe). Survivors include his wife, Marie Zapalac; daughter, Marty Zapalac Schiller and husband Tracy; three stepdaughters, Diane Roarke and husband Larry, Paula Williams and husband Steve and Sharon Heddles and husband Burt. Three sisters Doris Fountain and husband Johnny, Jeanette Drews and husband Lawrence, Debbie Zook and husband Gregg; four brothers James Zapalac and wife Laverne, Dennis Zapalac and wife Jannette, David Zapalac and wife Theresa and Johnnie Zapalac; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Tracy Schiller, Jake Schiller, Gregg Zook, Randy Zapalac, Tiny Schoppe and Buddy Schoppe. Honorees are Steve Williams, Burt Heddles and Larry Roarke.
